This policy covers the Black Hat Week event guide at blackhat.themarvelo.us, an independent, unofficial guide curated by Marvelous.
What we collect
When you unlock the full guide we store the email address you enter, the time of your submission, and whether you separately chose to receive event invitations. We also keep a record of RSVP links you open through the guide so we can understand which gatherings people care about, along with standard campaign parameters (such as UTM tags and the referring page) when your browser sends them. We use aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics to understand overall traffic; we do not send your email address to analytics tools.
How we use it
Your email unlocks the full guide on this device and lets us send a link to unlock it elsewhere. We send event invitations and curated updates only if you check the separate opt-in box — unlocking the guide alone does not subscribe you to anything. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from invitations at any time using the link in any email we send, or by visiting the unsubscribe page. To ask about or delete your data, email support@themarvelo.us.
Retention
We keep guide access and engagement records for the duration of the Black Hat Week 2026 campaign and a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymize them.
